Does anybody else feel like they're suspended right now between daily life and something else? Like you're at the very top of a roller coaster hill just before you scream down the other side? Like you're "there" but not really "there"? Like life is swirling around and ahead of you no matter what you do?
It's not necessarily a bad feeling. Just different.
Friends of mine are feeling the same thing. Most likely because we're all the same age; i.e., heading into our 50s. Whatever that means. This must be what it feels like. Like you're changing in spite of yourself. Or because of yourself.

I think I'll just go get a chocolate chip cookie. I know, cop-out. :)

I hear ya.' In my 50's, I feel younger, but look...50+ My terrier turned 7 recently, which is really the new 5 for dogs. So, as I hear, 50 is the new 40, or is that 30? Either way, you're as young as you feel, right? More power to the cookie--yeah, I had some today too!
