Yes We Did

One voice changed a room. One voice changed a state. One voice changed a nation. And one voice can change the world.
America elected Barack Obama. Virginia turned blue. I'm pretty excited, and so I hope are you.
The nation who voted yesterday is the nation who's been here all along. Some of us were awake; others needed more time to get there. Some of us had been speaking out. Others needed a little more time to know what they wanted to say.
Let's keep the conversation going. I fervently hope that Barack will keep the emails going between him and the nation. That he'll keep his Web site and his organization and his mobilization efforts going. Because he needs to keep talking to us and listening to us if we're really going to agree to the changes that need to be made and the work that needs to be done.
Bush said his political capital was his mandate after he was elected. Barack's is the will of the people to work for him. He, and we, can't afford to lose that.
And if you haven't seen it yet, check out Barack's speech at the Manassas rally here in Virginia on Monday night. He tells a great story.
