harps.jpgI Play the Harp

A Celtic, or folk, harp. I play for meditations, labyrinth walks, workshops, teas. I play to set an atmosphere from where you can imagine new ideas and commit to solutions that change the world. Not asking for much, am I?

This is the guy who made my big harp: Lewis Creek Instruments

This is the guy who made my little harp (Harpsicle): William Rees Instruments

flutes.jpgI Play the Native American Flute

Mainly in the style of the woodlands Indians, meaning a rich, full sound. Right now I provide therapeutic music to patients on the cardiology and oncology floors at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda. I also play every month at the Washington National Cathedral labyrinth walk (see schedule below).

The flutes sound really nice and usually make you forget where you are because you go to a new place that's much nicer.

This is the guy who makes most of the flutes I buy, in case you're interested:  Woodland Voices

If you want to learn more about NAFs, meet local players and makers in the Washington DC area, and come jam for a few hours, check out the Potomac Flute Circle's Web site, which contains information on the annual flute festivals in the DC area, and email contacts for the Potomac, Northern Virginia, and Maryland flute circles: Potomac Flute Circle
